Leadership: Founder/CEO Deborah York, APR

Deborah York is a creative and strategic thinker with the experience to develop and implement dynamic integrated communications, new media, public relations, and marketing plans for businesses and organizations.

Her experience includes working as the investor relations and marketing manager for Accent Software Ltd., a software company that provided multi-lingual transactions over the Internet. York was part of the U.S.-based team responsible for the company’s transformational growth from 1999 to 2001, as they moved the company from off-the-shelf language translation software (Accent Software) to online delivery (LanguageWare.Net). York’s role included touring NYC investment banks with the CEO to woo investors and find venture capital for the publicly traded company. While with the company, she helped implement a $3 million marketing campaign. Her most significant contribution was managing the investor relations online communications — at that time these were message boards, the precursor to today’s social media networks. During this time, the company stock raised from 12 cents to over $3.

Since 2001, York has lived in the Mobile Bay area and has continued to hone her skills in technology, strategic communications, marketing and public relations. Her ability to combine creativity and technology is ideally suited to manage online communications for businesses, political campaigns, non-profits, and any organization that is seeking results. In 2018, York was approved as a continuing education instructor with the Alabama Real Estate Commission and regularly teaches classes on social media to Alabama-based realtors.

She is a nationally accredited public relations practitioner, with 20 years of experience in all aspects of marketing including research, branding, strategic planning, advertising, and public relations. Now she is dedicated to sharing her technology and marketing knowledge with small- to mid-size companies that wish to move their marketing efforts online.
