Many of the volunteers felt like social media played a large role in the effort.

The Facebook page, beginning with only 10 fans on September 10, 2012, reached a total of 607 fans on election night, with all key cities in the county represented. The reach of daily posts ranged from 4-7,000 people per day who saw the posts during the last month of the campaign. Also, the e-mail list grew from zero to a total of 3,208 by the end of the campaign.
